Did you move recently? Are you missing important documents or bills? Have you spoken with the companies you receive mail from? This is a friendly reminder to have your mail forwarded to your new address. Moving can be stressfull I know and there is so much to do, but mail is a pretty important item. Important documents get mailed, bills, letters etcs.
I moved into my new place 2 months ago and the person that lived there before me moved out in March. When I first moved in I was excited to check the mail and get my “first” letter in the mail. What I found was when I would check the mail nothing would be addressed to me, instead it was addressed to the previous tenant. At the end of the week I had a large stack of mail that was addressed to the previous tenant, this included every magazine you could think of as well.I took the pile to the post office at the end of each week.
Now the most recent person that lived there before I can understand getting mail a few weeks after move out but I checked my mail today and had mail for that same person as well as a tenant that lived there even before this person! This tells me that somebody forgot to fill out the mail forwarding slip at the post office. This is very important becuase not every new owner or renter will forward your mail for you – some might just throw it away and there could be some very important documents you will miss.
Make sure the new owner/rents has filled out a change of address form, if they can not make it to the post office, advise them to fill it out online there is a $1 convienence charge but it is very simple!
Sometimes the mail services do not catch everything – in this case if you are not receiving your bills or regular mail I would call your service providers and have it changed in their mail delivery system.
Another helpful tip to let everyone know of your address change is to write up change of address cards and send them out to all friends and family
they will really appreciate this when they are sending out the holiday greeting cards or just wanting to say hello.

Muchos Gracias for your blog article. Awesome.
