If you have never visited Hanover Ave in the Fan for Halloween you are missing out. From the 2200 block all the way down till about Lombardy street Hanover is a magical haunted adventure. Every house seems to transform into haunted castles and scary pirate ships. The people are serious about their decorations and it’s impressive. On Halloween they usher in kids by the truck full to trick or treat on this fun filled block. So if you’re in the mood to be impressed by row houses turned into ships, or you just want to take your kid to a cool spot to trick or treat, check out Hanover and all of its scare!

Home Buyer Demographics

Want to know some interesting facts about the population of home buyers? I’m sure if I asked you what type of buyers dominated the market you would say married couples. Well you would be right if you thought couples in their 30’s and 40’s were the largest group to populate the home buying market.  But a recent trend has risen in single men and women home buyers. The National Association of Realtors and the US Census Bureau released some interesting facts stating that “in 2010, 20% of home buyers were single women and 12% were single men. Additionally, 36% of buyers were under the age of 35 in 2010. Nearly 26% of this demographic has developed favorable views of homeownership over the last six months”.

So to all the single men and women out there contemplating buying a home, here is some confidence to put in your back pocket.  It is happening; single men and women are breaking through and owning their own homes.  If you are single and wondering if home buying is right for you.
